Commercial Solar Design Assistant
Responsibilities:
Create solar design permits using AutoCAD and Excel with meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Efficiently revise plan sets in response to changes in the project trajectory, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
Assist Project Managers in procuring the appropriate materials, including racking, inverters, transformers, and other solar equipment, to guarantee project success.
Assist the Director of Engineering in research, plan check, template updates, and revisions.
Assist the sales department in creating solar layouts for new construction projects.
Revise single lines to comply with PG&E standards and promptly address adjustments required post-application.
Implement and apply relevant codes to the design (NEC, CEC, CFC, etc.
) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct load calculations for commercial EV charger applications to facilitate sustainable energy solutions.
Qualifications:
Possess a minimum of 2
years of AutoCAD and Excel experience.
Knowledgeable about different types of solar equipment and balance of systems for proper PV system design.
Possess an Electrical or Civil engineering background.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Maintaining a positive attitude during potentially stressful situations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
